Mahopac High School's Boy's Varsity Lacrosse team
has successfully challenged and risen above many teams
from all over NY State. Coached by Joe Corrace, Ted
Georgalas, and Jeremy Gusky, the Indians have no trouble meeting their goals and working together to achieve numerous awards.
Mahopac is represented as a Class A Section 1 team.
Over the years, Mahopac's main success' include:
1983- MHS JV Lax Team is formed.
1984- MHS Varsity Lax team is formed, along with freshmen lax too.
-Division 3
1985- MHS program expands to three levels- V, JV, F
1986- Program moves up to Conference A, Division 2.
1988- First trip to sectionals and a Division 2 Championship.
1989- Program Reaches Conference A, Division 1, the highest level of
lacrosse played in Section 1.
- 3-2 Victory over Class B State Champion Yorktown, and a
tremendous overtime victory against suffern in the Sectional
semifinals, sending Mahopac to the Section 1 Finals.
1992- First Section 1 Championship with an 8-5 win over Lakeland.
1993- Mahopac ranked #15 in the nation by "Lacrosse Magazine"
